During the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) campaign, award-winning artiste King Promise has pledged to sponsor a master’s degree programme for Tilly Akua Nipaa to recognized her efforts, his Public Relations Officer throughout the awards season.

on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, during an interview on Accra FM, the announcement was made.

“I like Tilly. I believe she did a great job,” King Promise said. “I was talking to my managers recently, I think she’s going to pursue her master’s and I want to pay for it, because she’s done a great job. She contributed very well to what we achieved.”

Ahead of the TGMA ceremony, King Promise appointed Tilly to lead his publicity and strategic communications, targeting the Board, Academy, and general public. She executed a series of impactful campaign strategies that significantly elevated his visibility.

King Promise went on to win the night’s top honour, Artiste of the Year, beating competition from Stonebwoy, Joe Mettle, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Team Eternity, and Kwaku Smoke. He also took home Afropop Song of the Year for Paris, Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste of the Year, and Album of the Year for True to Self at the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.

Matilda Mensah Marfo well-known as Tilly Akua Nipaa, is a respected Ghanaian media personality known for her work as a broadcaster and panelist on some of the country’s leading entertainment and lifestyle shows. With a background in Psychology, English, and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, she has built a formidable reputation for her fluency, insight, and dynamic media presence.

She has contributed to top platforms including Peace FM (Entertainment Review), TV3 (The Trendz), and Hitz FM (Showbiz Review Xtra). Tilly is also recognized for her digital savvy, especially through her podcast, T Means Talkative, where she explores entertainment and culture in Ghana.
