spearheads efforts to eradicate this harmful practice to which she was a victim.

of the AMANITARE 2002 Annual Award, inducted into the Medical Mission Hall of
Fame at the University of Toledo, Ohio, and bestowed with honorary degrees from
esteemed institutions like Clark University and Cardiff University.
