The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) is thrilled to
announce the opening of nominations for the 2024 Digital Growth Award. This
prestigious accolade aims to celebrate and honor credit union associations and
individual member credit unions that have made outstanding strides in advancing
our Challenge 2025 goal of global digital transformation.
Nominations are invited from entities that have successfully
implemented digital solutions showcasing inclusivity, innovation, and
scalability. The recognized solutions must have expanded financial inclusion,
demonstrated groundbreaking innovation by reducing costs or improving member
experiences, and be scalable for replication by other credit union associations
or credit unions within their region.
Elissa McCarter LaBorde, WOCCU President and CEO, expressed
admiration for the continual innovation within the credit union community,
stating, "We continue to be amazed each year by the number of innovative
digital solutions our members and their credit unions are implementing to drive
financial inclusion."
Nominations for the 2024 edition must be submitted by World
Council member associations or affiliated credit unions by March 1, 5:00 p.m.
U.S. Central Standard Time. An independent panel of digital financial experts
will evaluate the submissions, with the deserving recipients receiving one free
registration to the 2024 World Credit Union Conference in Boston, USA, from
July 21-24. The award ceremony will take place during WOCCU's Annual General
Meeting on July 22, 2024.
World Council member associations and credit unions are
encouraged to apply to embrace the opportunity to showcase their digital
prowess and contribute to building resilient global communities.
