Mahama Boosts Islamic Education and Community Outreach with
Vehicle Donations
Former President and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. John Dramani Mahama recently donated a
7-seater vehicle to the Islamic Education Unit (IEU) of the Ghana Education
Service (GES) during a campaign visit to Tamale in the Northern Region. The
donation, accepted by IEU General Manager Abdul Karim Bapuni, aims to enhance
the Unit’s operations in promoting Islamic education in Ghana.
In a separate gesture, Mahama provided a vehicle to the
Zakat and Sadaqa Trust Fund at the National Muslim Conference in Accra. This
contribution underscores his commitment to supporting Muslim community
initiatives across the nation.
Further supporting community outreach, Mahama donated
motorbikes to five Hausa-language radio stations in Accra. The motorbikes are
expected to assist the stations with their daily activities and outreach
programs, enabling them to better serve their audiences.
These donations highlight Mahama’s dedication to community
empowerment, religious education, and social welfare in Ghana. Through these
contributions, he reinforces his commitment to aiding community organizations
that support education, engagement, and development, particularly within the
Muslim community.
