An Adansi Praso Traditional Council chieftaincy position has been awarded to a 42-year-old man for his bravery in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region.
Following his enstoolment as Gyaasehene by the traditional chiefs and people of Adansi Praso on Thursday, April 20, 2023, Mr. Alex Osei Donkoh, as he is known in private, is now known as Nana Osei Okogyeaman I.
The new Gyaasehene was outdoored and introduced to the family and the whole Adansi Praso Township in a highly colorful parade through the main streets after going through the customary and traditional rites.
This honor was given to him in honour of his great contributions to the peace and prosperity of the region, according to Nana Agyemang Pemsan I, the Chief of Adansi Praso.
He claims that after Nana Osei Okogyeaman (Alex Donkoh) waged battle on infamous criminals who were disturbing the lives of the residents and ultimately led to the development of post-traumatic stress disorder in the population, the village is now experiencing peace and stability.
"He tracked them down, got them in custody, and then turned them over to the police so they could be charged. Without a certain, he merits praise, and the title bestowed upon him will always be displayed at his home. He said it again.
He consequently pleaded with him to promote harmony and peace both inside the region and beyond.
The new Gyaasehene was reassured by the Kyidomhene of Adanse Praso, Nana Okofo Tabi, of their unwavering support for the area's development.
After the ceremony, the new Gyaasehene promised to make peace, unity, and development his top priorities in an interview with reporter Kwame Owusu Asante Shadrack from Rich FM and Angel FM.
However, he urged the government and kindhearted people to support the construction of a police station because land is available for the project, which would help reduce crime and other associated illegalities.
He advised the kids to avoid the get-rich-quick mentality since it may harm their future development and instead concentrate on improving their careers through legal ways.
High-profile individuals attended the installation event, including the DCE for Assin North, Hon. Charles Ohene Andoh, the Chief of Assin Dansame, the DCE for New Edubiase, chiefs from all across the region, and various political figures.
