Global Blood Donor Activist -Mainali of Hicksville 

to be Honoured at Humanitarian Awards Global 2022. 


In the quest to inspire the next generation of change-makers, who are passionate about impacting lives and changing the narrative, the highly anticipated awards ceremony is expected to host Honorees/Awardees from about a dozen different countries on 27th August 2022 at the plush Labadi Beach Hotel.


Mainali of Hicksville for his astounding accomplishments as a dedicated blood donor since 1987.

Arjun Prasad Mainali has donated blood 172 times since August 20th, 1987 and has saved countless lives in the process. Arjun has donated blood in 17 countries on six different continents and in 14 different states in the United States of America.


This year edition of Humanitarian Awards Global ceremony to be held under the theme ‘Celebrating change makers’, is organised annually to recognize, honor, and celebrate change-makers, volunteer leaders, NGOs, philanthropists, corporations, and professionals to advance the importance of their incredible contributions to society. The project also provides a platform for them to tell their stories, share their impact as well as network with others in the field.


Arsjun Prasad Mainali has dedicated his life to educating, advocating, encouraging, promoting and creating awareness among thousands of people about the importance of blood donations, and because of this, Supervisor Saladino and the Oyster Bay Town Board commend him for his actions, and officially proclaim December 22, to be “World Blood Donor Arjun Mainali Day” in the Town of Oyster Bay in recognition of his selfless and lifesaving efforts.

Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino remarked that this date will be particularly fitting because December 22, 1818 was the date of the first documented transfusion of human blood.


Arjun Prasad Mainali has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Recognized as a leading advocate for blood donation, Mr. Mainali has achieved international acclaim for donating blood 200 times over the course of more than three decades. In addition to 14 states of the United States, he has donated blood in 17 countries in six continents, including Nepal, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Uganda, Malawi and Kenya. During the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, he donated blood and platelets 22 times. Mr. Mainali has also helped garner blood donations from more than 15,000 individuals by organizing hundreds of blood drive programs all over the world.
