Meet Danai Nhando, the beautiful South African lady who is
among the 2023 Africa Most Impactful 100 Change Makers.
Danai is an experienced Human Rights Lawyer, Social
Entrepreneur, and Executive with over 16 years of global, regional, and
national leadership in multi-sectorial social impact, humanitarian, and non-profit
organizations.
Danai is recognized for expertise in strategy planning,
program design and implementation, resource mobilization, policy, and advocacy
campaigns. She also has a proven track record of executing large-scale
transformative programs spanning diverse sectors such as education, health,
social justice, agriculture, and disaster relief and preparedness.
As the Founding Country Director for Change.org, South
Africa, Danai set up and scaled Change.org's first country office on the
African continent. Change.org is the world's largest online social action platform
that empowers citizens to create grassroots campaigns.
Among other awards, Danai received the 2021 Mail and Guardian's 50 Most Powerful Women in South Africa, the 2020 Inspiring Fifty South Africa Winner, and the 2019 APF Systems Change Fellow.
